20 hours in Malacca

nobody even bothered with my last entry (the one before this).

Last saturday, i worked till 4 pm, then i took a bus to melaka, and then
i spent a night beside the sea listening to the waves, then i came back
to shah alam in the evening. syok eh? 20hour vacation!

here's a rough estimate of what actually happened... i'll start at 4pm

Saturday 05/05/2007
4:00pm
by this time i've already reached home and proceeded to take a bath and
get some stuff then went to the bus stop to get my ticket.

6.30pm
the ticket i got was for 6.30pm, and so.. i went there right on time, but
the bus wasnt moving. it wasn't untill 15 minutes later did it start to
move.. yay!

8.00pm
i saw a triton bus went down the side longkang (drain) on a main road.. i
was a little worried because i was in a triton bus too...

8.30pm
i've reached alor gajah, apparently somewhere around here is ducky's
ALAM... i think it was Linggi or something..

9.30pm
yay!  i've reached my destination! Melaka Sentral (sounds familiar no?)
form here i had to walk around... ask around... for a bus to Dataran
Pahlawan or Mahkota Parade.

9.40pm
found bus #17 to mahkota parade a.k.a. dataran pahlawan and/or McD 24hrs.

10.05pm
damn bus starts to move.

10.20pm
reached the McD place.. big traffic jam, think of taipan at lunch hour.
and it's 4 lane here, still jam.

10.30pm
found ah win win and huei huei YO. the first thing i noticed was... there
is lotsa hot chicks around! it might be just me finding new chicks at new
places are fairer, has sharper features, better curves, wears less cloth,
and walks around shaking hips. (Music in my mind playing : Justin
Timberlake - Sexyback.mp3)

11.15pm
we started walking towars ah win's fine sea view condo. the walk took us
about 15mins.. lots of nice 'views' though, since the way we took had
more bars/clubs/bistro/24 hrs coffee shop than the whole of shah alam put
together. get my drift?

11.30pm
yay sampai liau!!! woo.. are those 3 infront of my just wearing
tubes/tank tops with jeans/mini skirt and heels? then only did ah win
told me, the building beside his condo is the Sunshine Club...

11.40pm
just made myself comfortable, washed some clothes and took a bath. took a
look at the sea.. nice view indeed, i can see a bridge of lights in the
horizon.. it's one of the busiest water highways in the world : the
straits of malacca.

12.30pm
after afew rounds of cho tai di, in which i lost terribly, we went out
for a walk... did i mention that the balcony at winwin's condo can see
Pulau Melaka (Malacca Island, stupid little island with afew shoplots and
a gigantic mosque, connected by a bridge afew streets away from us) it
turns out that the bridge to the island is locked and blocked by a
gate... damn. and so, we tried someplace else.. since that place reeks of
garbage smell anyway.

1.00am
awhile back there was some mention of the malacca menteri wanting to
build a modern tower near the famous A Famosa Fort. it was opposed by
most of the residents of malacca, but he went ahead and built it anyway.
or atleast he tried. when they were building the foundations for the
tower, they unearthed some old walls underground... building was
suspended, read about it here (http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/3/27/nation/20070327163608&sec=nation)
etc etc... and so we tried to get into the place... we were curious :P oh
but we couldnt get in, there was flood lights everywhere, people too..
so... ah well screw it, we went back to sleep.

1.20am
ohh we passed by a 7eleven, ah win mentioned something, then ah huei
nodded in agreement, and so we went into 7eleven and emerged with 3
bottles of heineken. i still dont know what they mean.

1.30am
passed by some bistro and clubs... still banging loud with their bass..
sipping heineken along the way... mine had 2/3 left when we got back to
da crib'

1.40am
we chatted, joked, and played cho dai di... untill 5am + and then we went
to sleep
oh yeah, at around 3am, the sea water receeded to quite a distance, ah
win said that's never happened before, and so we tried out some
theories... underground earthquake, tsunami at the other side of the
straits, lubang(hole) at the bottom of the ocean.. Zzz~
Sunday
10.15am
ducky called and woke me up, telling me he'll be there in another 20mins.
i went back to sleep.

10.34am
ducky called again, well, missed call me actually, i know what happened
and went down to get him. (oh yea, ah win's place has kinda good
security, their ground floor lift lobby requires the use of a keycard for
you to use the elevator, but the 2nd floor doesnt have the troublesome
box that u need to scan the card... so... good security eh? the fire
escape stairs are not locked on everyfloor too.. so.. lobby > stairs >
2nd floor lift > ?? get it?)

11.00am
we still loitered around.. played some cards, chatter, enjoyed the view,
washed some clothes, hung some out to dry, and planned our destination
and went out at noon.

12.00pm
first stop, Lunch. we decided to try out the (in)famous chicken rice
balls of malacca... it was just the margarine rice rolled into balls...
nothing speacial.

12.45pm
we went to get a bus that tours malacca... waited for 20mins then we
started walking ourselves since no bus came.. and they claim that 1 bus
comes every 15mins... ah huei asked me how come it doesnt come after 20?
i said this is malaysia, and he din't ask anymore questions.
1.00pm
we went into a museum of ... something, which i forgot, nothing much of
interest, some chairs, pictures, ear-plates, lip-plates, corsets,
gasings, an old firefigther pump, and some kites. 2 buck for adults, 50
cents for childrens... the curator was smart, damn.

1.30pm
done with the museum, we found some stairs next, which leads to Shawn
Paul Church (St. Paul) and so we went up. the view was gorgeus! and i
dont mean the girls, there weren't many there, i meant the sea, and the
view of malacca... we were ontop of a hill, the only tall one for miles
around, it's like reading a 3d map!

1.35pm
this church.. i remember.... i ran and fell down, then scratched my knees
once when i was small here.. that's the only memory that i have of
malacca. this is a portugese church, lots of big stone tablets around,
some with inscriptions, some bare. and there's a big hole in one of the
rooms of the church that ppl throw money into... too bad we couldn't get
in because the gate was fenced up and locked..

1.50pm
explored the church and the grounds around it, the walls of the church
looked like corals, lots of indents and holes... found some tombs
with/without inscription stones.. questions starts sprouting in my head..
saw a small one for childrens and babies.. another one looks too small
for a human baby, a pet perhaps?

2.00pm
we found a little broken down fort (or a part of it) we walked through
it, after seeing some guys selling souvenirs and afew foreigners we saw a
guy with an iguana on his shoulder here's what i heard:
(some foreginers around him)
Iguana Dude : Take your picture with this Iguana~ Only 20 ringgit~ don't
worry it's a vegetarian~
(now a malay guy walks over)
Iguana Dude : Mari mari ambil gambar dengan iguana~ 3 ringgit sahaja~~
*any comments?*

2.10pm
we spent some time looking for the famous Kota A. Famosa, we couldnt find
it, so we went and asked a dude in uniform.. he then points us to the
direction of the fort. it turns out that the fort is the little building
that we walked through right before we saw the iguana dude...that fort
sure is tiny... (the size of my room) he guy explained that it's just a
part of it, the rest had already collapsed and such, left a piece there
for the tourists. and there's a replica fort of famosa at alor gajah he
told us... next time...

2.30pm
we walked through the dataran pahlawan place... did i mention that it's
like a mini 1-utama that place? from adidas to vincci, mango to guess,
all of the major brands are there.. oh and i saw a Crown Bufori* a
SHOE(heels) shop. lots of new things i saw... costly too.. since this is
a budget trip, i'll admit im stingy. 'kay?

2.45pm
we ended up at the McD again... oh before this i bought some junk food...
hehe. one keropok (still have some in fridge) made from tapioca starch,
qutie nice, another is biji squishy thing, sweet, and the last one is...
something made from flour, very sweet, nothing speacial. so i gave it to
ah win win.

3.00pm
after afew minutes of sipping coke and eating free (thanks Kids Club!)
fries(small). we figured out that the tour buses are comming more and
more frequently, at first, it was 15 minutes, after that, 10 minutes
later... and thus our theory : sooner or later the busses should be
lining up like a traffic jam eh? anyways, as soon as we walked out, we
caught the bus within 5 minutes.. yay!

3.30pm
touring around melaka... boring... no leng luis along the way... only saw
lots of cemetary... small ones, more like mini. inmagine you're going to
just turn around the corner... and then you see a cemetary! (gasp! i
think i saw a shadow hanging from the tree!) and the cemetary/grave yard
is small, i mean... max 10 graves. and directly next to it is either a
coffee shop or a residential house. with PEOPLE in it!

4.01pm
tour ended, we got down at some park with a fountain that's dedicated to
the queen by the people of malacca etc etc. walked around, found an old
grave (suprise) behind the shawn paul(st. paul) church.. stepped on a
tomb stone (sorry) interesting though, but no hidden underground dungeon
passageways or walking dead around...

4.30pm
ya' known.. dataran pahlahwan is a really interesting place. the route
that we just walked was actually the 'back lane' of the town. i mean, i
see schools and houses just like our place, but right BEHIND the houses
is a high-rise building, either a shopping mall or a hotel.. if you're
comming from the front, you wouldn't be able to see the school or houses
behind it. i was suprised the say the least, the first thing i asked ah
win win was "this place looks tiny, so where the hell do all the people
pop out from?" now i know better. very good city planning, very very good
way to conceal the residential area besides building them out of the
tourist hot spots. thumbs up Malacca!

5.00pm
i kinda forgot what happened next, we just went back to ah winwin's
place, rested for awhile, gathered our stuff, and went to get a bus to
melaka sentral with ducky.

6.00pm
i think we were on the bus to melaka sentral.. still moving..
missing this place already (sob) oh all the pweety girls~~

6.30pm
reached sentral, wanted to buy tickets back to shah alam/kl, but most of
the famous(trusted) companies are sold out. luckily, someone was selling
2 tickets of transnasional to kl, pudu. i had my doubts, but i bought
it anyway.

9.00pm
me and huei huei (YO) have reached pudu, nothing interesting happened on
the bus, i slept, he slept, the guy beside me slept, the girl with heavy
makeup on who sat on our indicated seats on the ticket talked on her
phone more than half the journey.

??.??pm
we both got to the ktm, took a train back to shah alam, called my mom to
fetch us home.. done.

ya see, you dont need much time for a holiday.. you just go for it, and
try not to count down the hours and minits till it ends, everything will
be great! ;)
oh and i promise to bring my digicam along next time.. and i will NOT complain that it's heavy.. well, uploading pics is a bitch here so.. and im lazy.. and.. and.. my bro...
*note to pearly : go malacca to shop for your feet accesories

Sad, Bored, Broke, Pissed!

I'm 19, I work at a baking supplies and ingredients shop near my house. I open the shop at 8.30am and close it at 6.30pm. Most of the time there is nothing much to do except to sit and wait for customers to come in. I just started this job a month ago and already I feel like I'm in a rut. It's made my fuse shorter, getting angry and pissed at everyone else espeacially my parents... all i want is enough money and time to get a class "B" license and also a new honda ex5. Sad, frustrated, bored, pissed, broke, hungry, angry... for no reason at all.

FUCK.

And so... I've thought of a few things that i could do..hehe...

A. Run away to Thailand and drive Tuk-Tuk for a living for the rest of my life.

B. Shut up and get back to work, then get back to fife.

C. Talk this over with someone... hopefully it clears up the day.

D. Go kill someone, then get back to work. (weeeeeeeeeeee)

i need some ideas and suggestions... feel free to leave your choice at the comments... oh, and you can pick more than 1.

April 04

tears in my eyes, sadness in my heart...

the first time i saw you made me wonder,
who is that girl and how can i know her?
and then you leaned on my shoulder,
that made me start to ponder...

why does my heart beat this way,
i try hard to keep my feelings at bay,
is it something my heart wants to say?
that i should tell you to stay...

when i told you my true intentions
you did not belive my obligation
but i tried and i tried without hesitation
only then did you belive im my affection

jalan puteri 12, the road to the sky
so happy i was looking in your eyes
i dint know holding you felt so nice
oh how the good time flies

the days were smooth, sweet & tender
but alas, good days will someday end like cinders
my affection for you never did waver
your ways these days makes me tire

i am sorry i lied with no excuse
be it me to blame if you choose
wrong i am for saying those words
but i repented and still felt worse

show me again the smile on your lips
that made my heart do backflips
and i will be with you in an instant
holding you tight regardless of resistance...

I Love You...

The Haunted Bungalow

On the 4th of March a band of us (winwin, another 3 feller & me) cramped into his little tiara and went looking for something out of the ordinary.. it was 6:45pm, and we just got there.. Taman Tenaga, Puchong.
There was an abandoned bungalow house, 3stories and quite beautiful if restored. Strangely, the building was left standing for a number of years, nobody knew why, but there was always these rumors.. the house is haunted...

There are also quite a number of stories for that house, some of them i'll state here :
1. There's hidden treasure somewhere in the bungalow grounds..
2. An insane woman murdered her whole family, leaving bad vibes to all who dared live there.
3. A robber broke in & murdered the whole family while they slept at night.. restless spirits everywhere.
4. The house before this was burned, in an accident, 1 whole family was trapped inside and burned alive.. a new owner came and made this wonderful bungalow.. but things started to happen, bad things... and so he/she had to move.. abandoning it.

that's all i know for now.. 3 of the stories have something in common.. can u see it?

When we got to the house, it was nothing speacial.. just like any ordinary abandoned house. except it was huge.
the ceiling was falling down, because it used plaster patches. water pools are everywhere.. and also the grafitti. most of the meanings on the walls i couldn't make out. there are some racist remarks on the wall aswell, but they were all written/drawn using spray paint cans, and not brush & blood... debris everywhere, but no sign of ppl recently stayed here.. i thought some junkies or beggars would make the place home.. anyways, i got 45 pictures... a picture tells a  thousand words, so i got 45000 words for ya... technically..

so i'll leave it to ye inmaginations, enjoy the pics, and try no to flinch if u see something else u dont want to see... feel free to discuss  the house.. i doubt anything will happen to u.. nothing happened to me or the other participants of the days' exploration.. yet.....
